Last minute gig with John Pointer tonight at Cedar Street in Austin, two drummers so this should be a lot of fun.

 

Start work on a track for CGT tomorrow.

 

Markus will be coming over next week with Simone. We will spend a week or two building tracks for her record that Markus is producing. He also gave me news on the delay in our Tuner release (our spiffy art work has caused a few malfunctions at the pressing plant. . .but maybe it was fate. . 11 11. . .11 11. . . 11 11. . .

Played with Pine Top Perkins last night. . He is about 93 years old and still pumping the blues like a boogie woogie Jelly Roll. Pine Top was the piano man with Muddy Waters , Sonny Boy Williamson and other blues legends.

Got a call to fill in for a Will Taylor strings attached Zeppelin tribute gig at Thredagills this saturday- Oh Boy I get to try and learn 20 Zep tunes in two days.

P.J. has an interesting record deal, he is one of the new artist signed by CBS. They will place these new artists songs on CBS TV shows and as digital downloads and if any thing takes off they might press CDs.

Spent the last week recording another record for the Swiss legend Toni Vescoli. Tracking with David Grissom, Roscoe Beck, Mitch Watkins, eginered by Jim Vollentine.

 

Today i'm finishing up a track in my home studio for Tom Griesgraber with Bert Lams.

TUNER news, a happy birthday, KTU begins new recording

New TUNER CD 'POLE' coming June 4th.

 

In the meantime the third week of '11-11', with drums added by Ingo Vogelmann is now available at the 'Eleven Versions of 11-11' page at Krimson News!

 

TUNER will be playing live in Portugal at the Gouveia Art Rock festival, besides some duo tunes Tuner will appear with the California Guitar Trio, Metamorfosi Duo and Isildurs Bane.

A few nights ago I helped celebrate Malford Milligan's birthday party at the Saxon Pub by backing up Malford with Eric Johnson, David Grissom, Phil Brown, Tommy Shannon and many more.

 

KTU gigs in North America went well and we have been invited back (in 2008). Recording new KTU tracks has begun.
